Car was running all good, up until a hose that goes into the intake broke, and the radiators fluids ran dry, so it started to overheat. that cost $4 to fix just a broken fixture. but a couple of days after, a new problem arose.

If you try to accelerate, the car will bareley respond, like the revs go up as normal... but the speed doesnt. Does it in Drive, and first. so i have to drive around in second..

Maybe when it overheated it damaged some sensor or something.. any ideas?

If you want to know more details just ask.

So your saying theres the correct engine output (i.e. its reving) but theres nothing coming out of the transmission? As if it was in neutral. Is that what your saying.

Hmm sort of...
like it moves.. but very very slowly.. but once its outta first.. it drives all good...

someone suggest it might be a saftey precaution since it over heated a "Crawl Home Mode" if you will, so u prevent doing any more damage to the car.

Im pretty stumped.

So recap - You goto to accelerate, the revs are there. but your moving very very slowly, accelerating very very slowly.
