    hey guys im new to this site, my car gets serviced every 10,000kms, i had it done a couple of weeks ago, and recently the gears are over revving majorly from 1st to 2nd it goes up to 4000rpm just wantto know if i need a news tranny if so why the f*** didnt the mechanics pick it up, they picked up other stuff like engine mounts, a coolant leak in the gasket etc kind of hard not to notice

    If it wasn't doing it at service time, their crystal ball may not have been working to say you will have problems later.

    You say that the car gets serviced every 10,000 k's, does this include the auto transmission filter and fluid? The auto wont last too long without a regular service,especially if it gets used hard.I drive my auto like a manual a lot of the time,I service the transmission filter and fluid myself every 20,000 K's,its not much harder than changing the engine oil and filter.
