Vr commodore ute

Hey im just wondering i brought a vr commodore ute and was told that they done somthing to the ecu to get more power and because of that when i want to start the car i have to wait 40 mins for a light to turn off just to start it does anyone have any idea what they did and how to fix it

Check fault codes but most likely they've swapped memcal & you need to get vats disabled...no real way to know if tuned memcal or not.

Quickest way be to contact Ace Performance Tuning for memcal...get yours disabled or pay tad more for tune to suit 98 fuel exhaust/airbox etc if hasve those mods.

Disable vats in memcal should still have security as your key still needed for bcm.

Only other is maybe keyfob not synced to car...again check fault codes but should start instantly if lock/unlock on keyfob
