I've seen mention of this before and thought I'd check mine.....mine virtually froze solid after I turned the key anti-clockwise to lock it - spent a few minutes panicing but with gentle coaxing it unlocked - remember to turn it clockwise to UNLOCK. Good Luck.

one question? why did you bother dead locking the car if the back door doesn't lock?

I think its OK if you use the deadlock all the time or at least fairly often. Most deadlocks have never been used which means the actual switch etc is dirty and dusty and probably a bit corroded as well. If you don't use it you will lose it.

i think ur main problem would be your key is a lil too warn. My deadlock does this most of the time now, now my boot is starting to do the same, a lil bit of jiggling works but u've gotta find its sweet spot. Maybe try getting a new keyblade and see how it goes, thats next on the cards for me

mine used to lock and unlock for a while, but when l stopped using it as much it refused to work. I got some WD40 and gave it a tiny little squirt through the key-hole... waited 24 hours and it worked. I've been using it everyday and haven't had the slightest trouble
