hey guys, i have an old e21 bmw which i brought a few months ago, with a vn series 1 engine in it. Went really well until the head gasket went.

Anyways ive found a VR wreck and put the engine into it. Everything's done cept but i cant get it running. I used the wiring look from the VN. I just extended the wire for the ecu temp sensor.

I also tried the VR ecu - still no go.

What are the differences? What do i have to do to get this going?

Anyone in perth want a cashy job to get this going?

should run on the vn ecu mate could do with a tune to suit though as they are a bit different but it will be drivable. was the vr a runner when you got it before doing the swap.it wont run on the vr ecu without the security disabled in the tune.
