    Hey guys,

I have an issue with my blower selection. I can move it from feet, turning the switch does nothing.

I have the interior of a 2000 model in a 93 VR Ute.

Heater/Cool all works fine, fan speed works beautifully. Just the selection part. I have tired searching google/here so on but havent come across anyone else with this issue.

Has anyone got any ideas on how i can troubleshoot this?

    Cheers,
    Patrick

You'll probably have seen that the default setting for the vent selector is to the floor. You are looking for a vacuum leak somewhere. If you can't find a hose pinched or not connected, the selector dial itself could be the source as the 'maze' behind it that directs where the vacuum is supplied to is lubricated and sealed by a thin film of grease. The grease hardens and no longer seals. You can pull it apart and apply rubber grease (brake grease) to fix it before jumping straight to replacement.
