Random stalling can be ECU, DFI, Coils, CAS, DFI connector and various earths.

If the CAS is an old unit wont hurt to change it.

Hi Muik. Sound like a block somewhere! It may be possible that your fuel filter may have some cr@p blocking it:bang: When the tank run's dry,the fuel pump tends to suck up all the cr@p at the bottom of the tank:bang: causing the strainer net on the bottom of fuel pump pick-up and fuel filter becoming blocked! Worth a try checking fuel filter for blockage maybe?
Once she's all back together, check fuel pressure. Remove hose from regulator to injector rail, at injector rail end, place hose into a small container to catch fuel, turn ignition on, DONT start, see if fuel really squirts out, alot of pressure should come through...
If no pressure, possible blocked pump or faulty regulator?
Good luck

ok, looks like its the DFI module(play around with it and all works fine even sounds better, then dies) now ive been told by a mechanic that whrn u replace that you also have to replace the CAS and harmonic balancer. Is this true? Should i do just the dfi first and see if its ok?
Please help

You can replace all 3 at once - will save going back if its not the DFI - and spend lots more cash at the start. If the CAS is the original - maybe its time for a newie.

Or Just start with the DFI unit.

Change the HB only if it has cracks in the rubber bit.

When you say play with the DFI - do you mean move the connection/wires?

Could just need the pins to be closed over a bit.

The connector (small bolt holding it in) has open type round pins that can "open up" a bit. A gental squeeze with the pointy nose plyers can fix this.

Or it could be a broken wire in the DFI part of the loom. The earth could be sus to - remove and clean for good contact if grubby.

See how you go with that.
