Seems like it might be a bit engineer specific though, maybe worth asking yours before you do.

No worries, had a similar idea in mind. I haven't seen Ian since I was a kid, might have to have a chat.

Just some info on that and hoping this can be done too. A supplier that we deal with at work that does the changeover ABS modules brought up some good info which stuck in my mind. The Commodore ABS module is a common failing part. From what he said that these are the same as the falcon units. The Falcon units fail less in comparison though. The reason is how they are mounted on the car. On the Falcon they sit flat on top, but on the Commodore they sit on the front (sideways). This is the reason they fail more regularly, as they weren't designed to sit like that. So if possible see if you can mount it so the module sits on top like the Falcon's do as this may result in a lower failure rate. Not sure if will affect operation at all but just thought I'd throw that info out there. Especially if you plan to hide it.

Sorry to hijack it. Anyway back to the awesome thread.

Thanks Nick, all good info. My engineer was quite definite about the height thing, to be perfectly honest I am not totally sure why from an actual functional point of view. I will say he is a very very good engineer, and so far hasn't suggested anything that didn't have a very sound reason behind it, he's not a "just do it my way" kind of guy. Btw, the way I have mounted my ABS is at 90 degrees to how it sits normally. So maybe out of luck by the sound of it I may end up with a little more reliability if I read what your saying correctly. Btw that's not a hijack, all useful info gladly accepted!!

God damn, Bain's main video on their website hurt my brain so much. I guess you don't have to be able to spell to weld decently, but still, man.... come on.

OK, gotta say I have never noticed, but I am assuming its the, "there" instead of "they're". As you say, his welding is awesome :)

Lol, been doing a lot on the fuel system, so not a huge amount to show, but heaps of bloody work, tbh I am sitting having a beer and bloody stuffed. Today routed the 5/8 hardline for the feed tomorrow hope to do the 1/2 return, made up a pair of bulkheads to switch from the hardline to the braid to tank, and up to engine. Came up pretty sweet but farking time consuming. Lesson for learners like me, should have done it when the engine, trans and rear sub frame was out but anyways. Bought a really nice Holley lift pump, working through building the pump system into the front of drop tank. Hopefully tomorrow avo may have a decent update.

Btw, I tried to take some shots but it doesn't really show anything coz its up on the hoist so the wheels are hanging down at bottom travel.

Lol how did u go getting a 5/8 line up over the cradle ???
Bet u got a couple scratches to touch up !!! Well I do anyway !!!
Iv been doin myn in 1/2 inch ID well actually 16mm out side and my extractors have cats attached and come just past where the lines come into trans tunnel, it's a pain and carnt really be done in 1 piece so dropping cradle out to do them in 1 piece !!!
Are doin weld on fittings or did u get the tube fittings to go from hard line to an style with the olives ???
And did u manage to fit both lines from after trans tunnel along the factory spot ??? I'm trying but dam it becomes tight and will be hard to keep them separated so no rubbing occurs

Will post some pics tomorrow, but I am finishing the hard line at the back of the trans, then just going for there to a bulkhead on the firewall in Teflon braid. Yes was a bitch to work the 5/8 but in the end it's neat as, pretty much followed the factory path then made up a bulkhead above the drive shaft to terminate and go braid from there to the fuel tank. One day I want to make a genuine 1000HP so I am trying to do it once and build in capacity so I never have to touch it again. Never done one before though so I am learning as I go.
