First time I have had it down on the ground for a while, also dummied up an exhaust tip I have been working on.

A 454i badge would be cool in the same style as the original would be cool

Twin 3 inch tips would be awesome but given you want to keep it factory looking maybe black out the back of the tip so you don't really see the dual exhausts?

That's what I was sort of thinking, maybe even make the tip a bend so you don't see the 3" at all, not sure now, the twin 3" is easy as, maybe I go twins to start, then change it later. Put a bloody lot of work into that mock up, but I guess you don't always nail it.

I've got twin 2 1/2 inch tips on the clubby and they don't quite fill the gap properly. Really wish I had of gone twin 3s. Still better than factory though :p

Twin 3 inch tips fill the space nicely !!!
This is twin 3 inch 30 degree bends that I use to have, and I'm still using them just differently like u have seen on my thread

For me a tip has to be a piece of polished pipe same as exhaust with a slight bend , I'm not a fan of straight or straight cut on angle or the thicker tips u see on most xforce style systems or the oval style that come out on these cars, but that's just me

Yea I think I will go the twin straight 3", I got some nice polished slip on ends with the diFillpo stuff, so I think I will fit them. I can always go something different later. Thanks all.

How about twin tips but D shape the pipe and have the flats of the 'D' back to back so it still has that oval look but with twin pipes.

I think I have seen something like that on Commodores before.

    Something like this

Thanks i have seen them, in fact I have looked and looked until my eyes hurt, finding something I like off the shelf that is to suit dual 3" just doesn't exist, which is why I started thinking about making my own. I am still going to I think one day, but I don't want to get bogged down when its so close to running. the dual 3" will do for now. A guy on SC kindly did a quick shop for me, I think it will look pretty tough.

You'll get there mate, in the mean time, can't wait to see this thing fire into life for the first time.

BTW, that tank looks like it's meant to be there. Very well done indeed and it's framed nicely with that fat rubber :)

    454i........ :D
