Thanks all, the feed backs really appreciated. I have been a bit flat out the last couple of week ends, we are moving offices, then in 4 weeks we head overseas, so unfortuanelty may not get a whole lot done for a while.

As many others have said this is the Mother of all VS's!!

But just as importantly, is this being built in your garage? I have dreamed for soooo long about having a 2 post hoist in my garage.

Thanks, yep, doing everything at home in my shed on my own. Its pretty well decked out though, I have my own lathe, welder, grinders etc. I have a two post hoist, its called a Jaxmax. Its awesome. 4 posters are great for storing cars, but 2 posters are good for working on them coz they lift on the chassis so the wheels are free. My shed is only an 8' or 2.4m on the sides, so I couldn't get a full height lift. the JaxMax lifts it to about 1.3m, and the posts are held to the slab with bolts, and are on wheels so you can simply unscrew them when you are not using them.

Just regret not building a taller one, probably should have gone 2.7, but at the time it seemed like the right choice.
