VR SII Shutters on accel?

I'd still go ignition with that description.
By the way, the car we are talking about is a V6 auto? - your signature indicates a V8 enhanced??

I've had this happen twice before going back a number of years. First time was a faulty ignition lead. Second time was a bad (newish) spark plug. Both were genuine Holden. Never once had a problem with Bosch plugs and leads.

OK - my best guess is still ignition - if it misses it can cause the TCC to lock/unlock which is like turning the engine on/off/on/off .

Thanks for the reply's everyone, I think I will get the box serviced change plugs, Leads etc and check error codes.
