Hello Everyone
I regularly come and visit JC forums and check out the rides but have never joined you guys officially. Well ive just joined the club and would like to show and tell you guys about my ride and what im doing with it.
The car is a 1995 VR SS S2 factory manual and ive owned it for about 10 years and had my fair share of up's and downs with the old girl (previous owners had neglected her but she was still in amazing condition and i picked her up cheap). So over the years ive replaced alot of things and added some goodies but nothing crazy..
Well i went bit crazy and bought a 383 stroker kit from COME Racing and there Twin throttle body EFI manifold in search for extra horses as i will be taking the car to some events and cruises as well as strip. I still need more $ for some more goodies before i get the rebuild done but just thought i'd share as im super excited for this build...
What the car has at the moment is:
Mace CAI pod filter
Excedy heavy duty clutch
Genie headers
3 inch full stainless steel exhaust going through 3inch hurricane muffler (sounds angry)
Crane Hydraulic flat tappet 276 cam (upgrading the cam to suit 383)
lifters, retainers
valve springs

other than that everything is standard

future upgrades:
Diff - 3.45
Cam - larger cam to suit 383
ported heads
383 stroker kit (obtained)
Twin Throttle body manifold (obtained)
maybe wheels when i get some more $
Gearbox is T5 and is in good nick but dont think at all it will hold up to the extra horses (would like some more info on this if anyone can help out).
Clear coat is fading in couple of area's so intime a repaint will be in order.
There are other things but this is all im sharing atm, anyway enough yip yap from me.. ill throw up some pics.

Very nice.
Did the TB come with the brass fittings in it when you purchased it? Or have you fitted them.
I'm running the same mani but goy it near new 2nd hand. I sorted brass fittings myself. Drivers side heater output I used a 90deg where yours is straight.

Anyway, super excited to follow your stroker build.

still havent decided on cam.. most likely will be custom grind.. its the last piece of the puzzle that still has me scratching my head and my wallet.. the engine builder has alot of knowledge on all things that go fast and he's already rebuilt the motor for me once before so im going to pick his brain abit.. he drags with a 7 second vl and did such a great job on the rebuild, cant go wrong.. personally though i'd like to go a roller cam setup.. it has hydraulic cam setup at the moment and the cost of the roller setups will really chew my wallet.. as for compression ratio, guess that will be decided with the cam choice but it will be high compression as i want to keep it NA

If you set the compression ratio where you are comfortable, then the custom ground cam will work to what that is.
Later intake closing will bleed off compression to give you easier starting etc.

Easier to fine tune cam specs than to fine tune compression ratio.
