i was advised most likely crank angle sensor behind harmonic balancer, any one know if this is true or what the problem is, when mine stalls, sometimes has trouble starting first or second time after that

The problems u guys are having sounds like your oxy sensors have flat lined and died pull fault codes and you'll find im right dealt with this issue on many occassions excess oil and coolant in the exhaust kills em also if it only happens when cold coolant sensor can be the culprit

Did you replace both of them and does it cut out when you steer i've had them not log a fault code for quite a while my own truck did this and it was a bitch to find also the maf sensor gets a coating of crap on it tells the computer its flowing less air than it really is causes a lean condition I start the engine with the intake disconnected and spray carby cleaner into intake with engine sitting on about 1200 rpms this most times has the desired effect sorry about long post

Regarding test oxy sensor the best way for you guys is really substuition it does however produce a voltage from memory about 0-1 volt which is dependent on 02 content of exhaust
