Tried replacing the key on my 1994 VR Statesman one night and was unsuccesful put the key back together car started fine next time tried starting it the security light wouldnt turn off and the car wouldnt start. RAA guy said the immobiliser had gone to **** on wouldnt let the car start got it towed home. Tried running the car off a charger for 45 minutes with the ignition on as the raa guy recommended still wouldnt turn on. Then replaced the key still nothing. Removed the BCM and the Radio Remote Controller trying to find a replacement BCM. Also the Car has had history of not unlocking when I press the key, had me stuck at the servo for 15 minutes pressing unlock until it finally worked has happened a few times. Anyone have any theories what else it could be.

You can have the VATS disabled in the BCM, used to be around $50.
