    hey there

i own a 1993 VR Commodore Acclaim, i'll try to get some pictures up and running, but after i get her repaired, which is why i'm posting this :D

ok, to keep it short, my transmittion is an auto, and a few weeks ago the 2nd and reverse gears were buggered, it still drove... but not well, :bang: so now it is sittin in a workshop shed with its trans pulled out ready for a reconditioned one. But:

    1. I was wonderin how much (just an estimate) a reconditioned transmittion costs, and:

    2. Will any furthar problems form if it hasnt been started up in a couple of weeks?

i'll keep ya updated on progress made on my car :D and i hope to get it back soon :w00t:

reco costs around 1k give or take, plus fitment

maybe the battery will die. mine ahs been sitting for about 6 months and the only thing that died in that time was the battery, but that's a night on the charger to fix

I paid $1800 fitted 18 months ago for a reco - that was at Southport (Gold coast). The car sitting for a few weeks will cause no harm.....and you'll save on petrol.
