Water Leak
I tightened the lower radiator hose where it connects to the water pump, but have a feeling that water was only sitting in the top of the pipe because it had splashed there,
I will check again tomorrow, but have a feeling that it is the weep hole in the water pump.

Ouch, just looked on Trade me, they go for anywhere between $150 and $200. Repco would cost more like $250, but you probably have to buy coolant too. Thats unless your a stingy bastard like me and just catch it and put it back in lol

I know people in the right prices, and doubt I will pay close to that for a pump, plus I have a spare here for the stroker block which I may just use instead.
I have a couple of litres of PEAK coolant (yes, i'm a sucker for Danica Patrick endorsement) so may just buy a gasket and be able to complete job this weekend.

unless I polish the pump first, LOL

Water Pump

Finished work at 3pm today, stopped in at repco to price up Water Pump Gasket, and the pump.
Drove home (carefully) to investigate what I had at home and what was needed new. I couldn't be bothered making a gasket, and my spare waterpump looked like it had done more km's than I wanted for a pump to put in. So back to Repco for a new Pump,
Installed the pump, car back together, filled with fluid (all re-used except for about 1/2qt of new coolant that I already had in the garage) and bleed the system.
Off for a drive; all before the sun went down. Job Well Done!:driving:
