Yes = pay = but compared to later = not on the same plane/ planet.
Replaced mine ( which was a copper/brass) . with a a copper and brass radiator a couple of years ago l personally believe can't beat.

A long long time ago borrowed my brothers golf gt = took off from a set of lights = water all over the windscreen = top radiator hose connection = radiator =plastic = cracked = ( let go)= yeap it's not going anywhere !!!! = was on the way to work as well!,,

Drivers side drain plug on the block was hard to access, but got it eventually.
Cleaned out the reservoir and overflow hose also.
New Radiator installed and full with 13litres of penrite premix.

Changed radiator caps today. The one that was on it (my spare from years gone by) looks to be leaking past its seal in one small area.

Pressure tested my radiator today.
I found my top hose was not tight at rad end. After that I found it needed more tension at the engine end. And then the slowest of leaks at the heater feed.
Finally got it to hold 12psi for over 1/2 an hour. So calling it good.

I have found the clamps need checking every few months. Mine seem to loosen off after a while.
