vr v6 dies when accelerating

    ok so i have had my commy about 6 months. about a month ago it run the big ends. i have since swaped the engine out for a second hand one. got it running but it it wouldnt idle some times and died when ever you would touch the gas after 30 seconds ish of running and check engine light was on and wouldnt change gear good. so had the codes read came up low voltage on tps. swapped that for the old 1. now its running good changes mint and check engine light gone out. but when ever you dump the gas it dies. any help would be much appreciated

    Sounds like your Fuel Pump might be on its way out. Someone else has had a similar problem where it couldn't keep up with the fuel delivery at high RPM, but would be fine at low or idle.

    Had a VX V6 doing something similar today. Went fine if you drove it gently, but wouldn't go over 40kmp/h if you tried to accelerate harder. Felt like it was running out of fuel and wouldn't go any faster. Tried the fuel filter, cleaned the throttle body, and put it on the scan tool but no luck. Delaying the inevitable really :p I swapped the fuel pump this arvo and now it's all good.

    Get a new pump, filter, and drain the fuel from the tank then try wipe and clean it out as best you can, otherwise you'll void the new pumps warranty.

    i swapped the iac because it was broken how could ihave done it wrong

    oh and it will go as fast as you want if your gentle just when you dump it it dies

    all fixed was just the outlet on the throttle body for the map sensor it was blocked
