Paradox's problem was the balancer had been put on unco and wasn't on the crank key causing wrong timing

My balancer is on correctly. Also, the base timing on this motor is fine:

whats with the 2 sprockets having different teeth

Yeah whats the go with that, is that how the V6's are?

im sure the last timing chain i did wasnt a difference like that between sprockets

Dunno, probably s1 VN one gear and s2 VR another. Either way it works just fine


It was the fuel pressure reg

Problem solved, mine was bent
replacing tomorrow

nice one was it leaking or not keeping the proper pressure.that chain looks like its hardly even catching on the bottom sprocket teeth and looks awefully incorrect hope it doesnt rip the teeth off or grind them down filling the engine with metal filings

im with you delco , hey sam mate i done a chain on a vr calais for a mate a couple of weeks ago and they had the same teeth . . .
