Ok so I'm new to the v8 5 Ltrs dnt know too much about them, I've been looking at this ute I've been thinking of buying, air con works but screeches asked why, the guy said that the belt rubs on the sway bar and recons that it just needs a shorter belt??? Is this true??? From my experience if it was doin that mountS would have to be broken or bent, or it's been in a crash.

Let me know what you think....

    Thanks.

Pretty much what u said, Either all the rubber in the engine mount has discintergrated or somthin is bent and wrong! If its just the mount then thats ok, its a bastard to replace, but not an expensive thing though. Bout $20 for a mount off ebay

Got a picture of the ute? my old silver VR V8 ute a/c belt hit on sway bar and screeched as i replaced the belt with one that was an aftermaket belt that had streached.
