Just purchased a V6 VR cluster with what was ment to be 212000 kms on it. Get it home and on the bottom it has SV 92054707 V8 on it and 146555 kms. Look this up and it is a VS 250kph cluster from 95 onwards (has a 220kph speedo in it now. Also hasHSV pt number 12 J 950702 on it. My question is is the VR and VS front cover the same? thats the bit that has all the lights along the bottom.
Yes they are. Some icons are in different positions. On VR the have press remote where low fuel is on a VS I think. Stuff like that any way. Same Icons on them but in different positions. I can have a look at one for you and get the order of the icons if you want.
Left side |BATT|ABS OFF|LIGHT|ENGINE|OIL|BRAKE|<- |(P)|FEUL| Right side |SPD|TEMP|->|HI BEAM|PRESS REMOTE|AIR BAG|CRS|ON|PRW| This is the run down on the VR plastic on a VS cluster. The PCB has 1997 printed on it. The only difference I can see in the PCB connector numbers in a VR one I have has 2 for air bags and the VS has only 1.
What are you doing with the cluster? Surely the speedo going to 250 would have given away it was a HSV one lol
The one i had was a low K one too. I only needed it for the speedo unit tho. If your speedo unit says calais international on it, its def mine
Hmmmm will take it apart tonight now to have a look..... Where did it say Calais International on it? on the speedo PCB or the cluster PCB. I'll take a photo of the sticker. Someone with a non original VS 250kph cluster may want the PCB with an original has sticker on it
Bugga - you blew it - we could have had all the International owners rippin out the cluster to have a squizz.
