What paint did you use?
Do you need to clean or prepare the dash with something special?

I've done my dash twice now, about to re-spray it the third time..

Preperation, Use an old rag and lightly dust of the build up of crap, then a clean rag and Metholated Spirits, a generous wipe over, to get rid of any oils as no doubt people would have used Armor All or the likes at one point.

Preperation x2, allow the metho to dry for 5-10 minutes, depending on outside temperature. Spray the surfact with primer, 1-2 coats is fine. allow a futher 10-15 minutes drying time (make sure you do this in like a garage or something with NO wind and be sure to use a face mask.. sucking up paint fumes ain't cool, even if I am a smoker!

Give your dash piece a generous 1-2 even 3 coats of spray using a Plastic Paint, and allow maybe 15 minutes to dry after each coat.. Light Even coats is the best, to stop paint runs..

Lastly, give the whole lot 1-2 coats of Acrylic Enamel for shiney glossy looks.
