In theory, with the diff been mounted to the subframe, the diff should have minimal movement. I'm still firmly of the belief that the rear subframe is mounted with bushes for NVH purposes (noise, vibration & Harshness).

Yeah, that is why I will use some urethane type bushes in the diff mount. I will most likely mount the bushes high on the chassis as it will change the way the diff mount handles the torque applied by the diff. It's basically what I see that Harrop have done with their sports mount.

Interesting, I would have thought just regular suspension travel would give you some of that, but I am not Mr CV. Cool, nice little project, post up pics if you do it.
Just wanted to add my 2 cents worth. Know it's been years but people should know Performancesuspension.com.au sell a solid rear cradle bush made of 6000 alloy for $300 odd For the vr -vz plus ve- vf commodores.
