Tonkins car audio sell a similar box for $140, im thinking about it, mmmm spend $1k and have a pretty good system or spend $4k and have a system that powerful it could crack my hard cover. mmmmm its got to be the expensive one..
Yea these guys are great! They asked how much I want to spend and got me a good Alpine sys for $1300 which Im happy with. Include deck, amp, splits and 10" sub( as the picture from previous post) into my VG. Great sound and i think any more you would have consider vibrations ( coz cranking would make those annoying shudders)

my mates got a work horse ute, and he wants to put a subwoofer "in" the car (not on the tray because he puts tools in there) hes running 7x10 kenwoods that produce a lil bass but nuthn like a sub.

where is the best spot to place the sub and box, and what brand sub would produce a suitable amount of bass (pics would be nice)

Thanks Jecs

Hes got a VR 5Lt ute. He is planing on cutting the rear wall and moving it back a few inchs so hes got a bit more room. ive never seen the gap where the fuel tank is (dont own a ute) but is there much room to fit a box?, and will it get wet?

plus i reakon he would like it in the cab to show it off sorta thing.

(got any pics perceptiontwin of the space next to the tank and sum pics of box/sub?)

Thanks Champ !!

those 2 holes uptop get opened up and let heaps of bass in.

not gonna get wet either.. i plugger up all the holes in the bottom with plastic and silicone jsut incase. but as long as ya box is sealed, and ya make sure ya seal up the panel that covers this space/fueltank, no water will be able to get into the sub.
