hey just thinking. i got a vr wagon acclaim and its straight as schmiky as and its pretty powerful for a v6 prolly the quickest stock vr ive seen but to the point its stock except : corvette servos vs s/c cai blue top injectors k&n pod filter sitting on fe2 cop susp and has a vr v6 bt1 chip in here (i have a bloke who can right me up a mad tune for 20$ so that might be the go but i want more poke so im thinking a 3:45 ratio 90 bucks for the crown wheel and pnion and 400 too install is it worth it and are extractors going to give me more power with stock exhaust and will it bolt straight up to original exhaust
Id go a 3.9 diff mate!! If you only go 3.45, you might regret not going shorter. But your price is very low. diffs are built as an assembly with new bearings, shims en the rest and are mated for life. so dont go budget because it will cost you later. If you do a ratio change then your speedo will be out and most ppl leave this, but it makes it look like your car has done more kms then what it has. A new speedo box installed is about 350. If you dont have a free breathing engine, then id say the blue top (24lb) injectors are way to big. stocko 5L come with 15lbs! Id start with a cat back exhaust first then worry bout headers and hiflo cats later. upto you though. hope this has helped a bit..
cheers man its running a lil harder on fuel but with a larger tb it should settle a little need a bigger fuel pump so i will go a walbro 255lb when mine ****s itself and you reakon go a 3:9 hmmmm maybe i will look into it yeah then extractors then a high flow cat with a standard exhaust minus the rear muffler i will have a sort of cannon but its still gunna flow beeter etc but first im dropping the rear another 2 inches fix the bent window holding thingo in the drivers door then tint windows
that would rev about 25-30% higher. so about 2600rpm at 100 k's. guess its all personal choice and depends what you use the car for. I preffer low revving cars cos its quiet... but i drive long distance
