I've got a VR and it wont go.

Out of the blue one day it just started stalling quite constantly, luckily I was only about 1.5km's from home and managed to get it home (stalled 4 times). Since then it wont start at all, it will turn. Displayed codes 46 and 48.

I've replaced the CAS and has made no difference. Now displaying code 46.

    Anyone have any ideas??

V6 or V8, either way it is not getting the signal to fire the coil/s.

Yep, battery was disconnected while removing harmonic balancer.

V6, thats what I figured, i also tried changing coils and it is pumping fuel as I took the fuel line off the injector rail.

Could also be the balancer its self. Sometimes the fins can be bent a little. It's stupid but I replace the balancer when I do the CAS.

I'm hoping its not the balancer, its only a about 8-12mths old.

I've looked over the wires and can't find any faults with them.

At both ends, sometimes it can be at the module end.

I'll have to check tomorrow. Be nice if it was that simple.

Undo the bolt and make sure it is clean too while your looking.

could also be a dodgie dfi module. try swapping it for one of your mates if they have a vr/s. this will help eliminate it

I may even just pull the dfi module off and swap it. I've got a complete spare engine/car.

i'd definitely try another dfi module, 46 can be caused by that or the cas, you've replaced one bit now try the other....
