When you turn the key to on can you hear the fuel pump prime? Get a friend to listen. If it's starting when you put fuel into the intake, the car obviously isn't getting fuel.

The immobiliser can stop the fuel injectors from working when its active..Try leaving the ignition switch in the on position for 45 minutes (which bypasses the immobiliser)and then see if it starts. If it does start, its the immobiliser causing the problem. Make sure the battery is fully charged and all accessories and interior lights etc are turned off before leaving the ignition switch on for the 45 minutes. Also if it starts after the 45 minutes, once you turn it off again, you will have to leave it for another 45 minutes before it will start again. This bypass time period is basically a safety feature, so if the car has a problem with the immobiliser, it can be started and driven (after the time period it up) to a workshop for repairs etc.

When the ignition switch is first turned to the on position, the fuel pump should only run for about 2 seconds or so, then it will cut off again. It wont run constantly until the engine is actually started..
