    Hi guys,

Car was running fine (VR 3.8 auto), pulled up to the shop got back in and went to start it. Nothing happened except a small plume of white smoke came out of the shifter and surrounding area and now it won't start. Have replaced the switch on the side of the shifter but nothing has changed. Help!

    Thanks

    check your fuses and relays.

Check under your steering wheel and then check the ones under the bonnet.

As DannyboyDS said. Fuses, both in car and under the bonnet. I would really be trying to trace the source of the smoke after that.
