If it was the immobiliser it wouldnt even start to crank, so probably not. What is happening now when you turn the key? Things I would be looking into would be error codes, battery, battery contacts, stater motor. Not_An_Abba_Fan knows his stuff to, so I would be nice to him and you might find that members are more willing to help out

If it didnt come with keys in the first place.. how dd you kick it over to see it running when you bought it?

Id say its the battery, if youve got a multimeter check how many volts the batterys puttin out

under the steering wheel down under the fues box cover you will see a black plug.get a paper clip and cross the 5 and 6 pins together and then turn your reds on.Look at your engine warning light it will start to flash.firs it will flash once then flash 2 times this meaning code 12.It will do this about 3 times and after that it will do another code if you have a prob. For eg. 4 flashes then 5 flashes = code 45 Oxygen Sensor Lean
for a full list of the codes go hear

    Here are full instructions http://forums.justcommodores.com.au...22307-checking-error-codes-vr-vs-revised.html

Meanings are provided by Mr Ute's link above.

All you need is a paperclip

Mr Ute, interested to hear what you think about that scan tool. I asked around on here when they just came out, was told that the info that was available would be fairly limited, although no one had actually tried it out. It is fairly expensive just for the one car to have a little play.

I dont think it will tell you much but i gues you can do a little more than paper clip.
I went to jay car the other day to get some resistors to recalibrate my tacho and got me self a jay car catalogue.Didnt no about it till read it in there. But it has a small print under it thats not on the web.....

Due to the distressingly large number of people returning this product under out satisfaction guarantee policy (we suspect a free hiring service) this product no longer has a satisfaction guarantee.Experience has shown that the product is reliable and not likely to be faulty either.

Now that could mean its just crap lol or people are just useing 1s and returning it.Tight arses.
Non the less i still wouldnt mind one as im courious.Might get one in a few weeks when i stop spending money on this dam ute lol

I know theres probably issues with the key heads ect.. but from your first post("Quote" it started to wind over then stop), it sounds to me like you have a flat battery??

You never actually said whether you had the key head programmed to the BCM. Letting it sit for a while does bypass the immobilizer so not starting unless you do that says that the key and the BCM do not match.
