- Vs 304
Hey chaps
Really hoping someone can point me in the right direction.
I have done a 304 conversion on my 99 VS. the ECU, trans and wiring loom came from a VR berlina 94.
Had the vats removed and it runs great BUT.
The Speedo isn't working and the trans is stuck in limp mode.
After 50,000 hours of testing and diagrams and searching forums
I've found the engine loom pinout matches a VS 304.
Speed sensor is blue/white and tan directly into the ECU. Continuity tests fine
Single violet/white wire coming from ECU into the 3rd small plug goes directly to the Speedo cluster also tests fine.
I've checked the pink/blue wire going to the trans plug to make sure it has 12v ignition as this is for the solenoids.
I'm really hoping someone has ran into this issue I can't possibly be the only one haha.
I understand VR to VS has some changes but from what I can see the speed sensor goes directly to the ECU (high and low signal) and then the ECU spits out a signal to the dash.
Any advice would be magic!
Thanks heaps!
