VS 5.0 Series 2 Ticking

Hi everyone.

I have a 98 VS 5.0Lt Series 2 S-Pack Ute and sometimes when a give it a bit in first and get up in the 5000Rpm stage the motor starts ticking.
It ticks more when you accelerate but it goes away after it hasn't been driven for about 30 mins?
any ideas?
could be lifters or injectors?

all commo's do make a injector type sound that can be fairly noticeable, prob just that.
