Yeah it will go good cutting holes is easy!!! Just use a Stanley knife and cut holes as a (X) and fold them around !!! Easy

some times they use a silicon to hold any parts of roof lining up that want to hang down and wedge it up with anything from parcel tray section or from back seat or dash or front seats use something like bits of timber or something

Myn wanted to hang down above back seat section so I used silicon and wedged it from back parcel tray

I can see how it can get addictive doing this stuff. I think the vinyl is a pretty good match to the pillar plastics so might leave them as is. The only thing I need is the trim across the top of the rear window. All clips are busted so it just sits there sagging a bit. I spoke to Holden and there are none availbale nationwide at the moment. Apparently some are due around mid-August but at $126 I'm not sure about going new. I might try and track one down 2nd hand and if the colour doesn't match then cover that with the same vinyl.

    Thanks Nic.

    Thanks Macca

Thanks James. See below for completed job. As manta said, I cut the holes with a stanley knife before installing. With the hole for the light, I glued and folded the flaps onto the top side of the board. The other holes I had to trim in the car to ensure clearance for the screws.

Mine wants to hang down in the rear as well. I glued velcro to the topside of the board and the underside of the roof "beam". The only problem is that I can't apply sufficient pressure to the lining to make it grip without leaving indentations in the foam. While I told my helper not to press on the main area when reinstalling it, just use the edges, she didn't listen and now it has some small finger indents through it.

    Anyway, pics of it installed.

The indents should leave on their own.

I think it is too late to save that airbag I never knew they got that bad haha. Great job on install, maybe Nic92 should pay you a visit and make the indents vibrate themselves out with bass

looks good. I like the choice of material, it matches the dash and sun visors and I didn't notice the dimples until I scrolled back up and had a closer look. I had my roof liner done a while back in grey velour so it matches my velour covered sun visors and c pillars.

as for getting a dash mat, I had a toohey's bar mat that I stole from a pub on the dash of my old VS exec.

Thanks Wombles. Good to know the indents will disappear.

    Yeah, I'm leaning this way.

Thanks mate. A bit too late for the dash mat now lol.

I've seen a lot worse airbag covers than mine. I believe they rectified the issue with the Series 2. And lol, but I'm slowly slowly starting to reduce some rattles in the car. Nic will just undo all my work.

Thanks Chris. I could always use my Richmond scarf for a dash mat !

    Thanks Mate.

I picked up another top rear interior plastic trim the other week. My original one has no clips left. A different colour to the original one.

    Replacement on the right.

Trimmed in the same vinyl that I did the roof lining in (again on the right) it didn't come out too bad.

What an awesome turn out and your beast looks sexy as hell. Wish we could do that sort of thing in Qld but all of ours seem to be accompanied by a defect station.

I need that exact same piece for the clubby interior. Went to put mine back up and was maybe a little rough and kinda snapped it in half lol.

    Thanks Demonica.

Those pics don't show the extent of the turn out either. There would have been a few hundred cars all up. I was in the last row at the show n shine. The oval was full across to the other side. The cops were involved from the start and seemed pretty friendly. They even blocked the road off so we could exit the start point easier.

Those trim pieces can be tricky to track down in good condition. Most of them have busted clips. Just gotta trawl through gumtree for people wrecking cars and you might strike it lucky.

No, can't say I did. Given you some inspiration to bag yours ?

There were some nice cars there though. I've got a few pics I will put in the Auto Porn thread over the next few days.

The black VY that I was parked next to at the show n shine was lumpy as hell...fatoomp, fatoomp fatoomp lol.

Yeah cops were good diverting traffic for the actual cruise itself haha. I saw one car pulled over on the way to the show n shine part, I was in the row in front of you but yes plenty of cars. Still looking good I still retain my soft spot for the VR/S's, knew it was you from the Richmond plates :p
