hey all i need help over the last week ive done a 5 litre conversion out of my 95 statesman into my 95 vs exec this is the first time ive done a conversion alot of hours went into it and its all done now thank god for that but now the gearbox seems to be slipping most of the time, the gearbox was working fine before i swapped the motor over i left the motor and the box together could it be a sensor or sumthing else please help!!
any error codes? if it's a sensor or electronic component it'll throw a code in the pcm. did you service the trans? did you lose trans fluid and not top it up? bent the cooler lines somewhere and it's starving for fluid?
the check engine light is on dont know the code do u need a computer to plug into it to see the code? the trans was serviced not long before the conversion yeah it lost some but i topped it up and from what i can see the lines look fine
a scantool or laptop is quicker but you can easily check why it's on by using only a paper clip forums.justcommodores.com.au/holden-commodore-how-tos/22307-checking-error-codes-vr-vs-revised.html had to revert to this method on an imported corvette recently..... forgot how long it takes to count the flashes, write stuff down and then go research....
its coming up with 12 code wich means system ok ill have to jack it u and have a proper look underneath i think
It flashes once then couple seconds flashes twice within second of each other just keeps flashing same pattern
