Okay I have a bit of a problem the owner before me has removed the original brackets for the 6" in the rear and cut out holes for the 6x9 in the parcel shelf but now I can't mount mine anywhere properly the only way I can think of securing them properly is make some metal brackets that will sit flush on the back of the parcel shelf and mount mine on top of the shelf and screw in too the brackets but my only concern is the magnet might still be making contact with the body/chassis, if anyone has any other ideas or anything to contribute it will be much appreciated the speakers are sound stream turantula 6x9 splits and if anyone knows the distance between the chassis/frame and back of the parcel shelf that would be great to thanks :)

If they cut into the steel, buy a new card for the parcel tray and NEVER speak of this again!

Have fun with no insurance if the parcel shelf has been cut. There is no way to get a 6x9 in there without cutting the metal.

you can replace the 6' mounts drill out the ones from a wreckers(drill through weld spots (4), then use bolts to remount back in to your car unless you have a welder and replace card part of the shelf.
if the metal has been cut i would keep that to your self, as your car could be defectable(depending on state)
hope this helps

I onced dynamatted the underside of a parcel shelf to hide the fact that it had been cut... Now it's no guarantees but its since been through three roadworthies without hitch.

If its cardboard that's been cut... New parcel shelf or custom parcel shelf. That's typically how I mount 6x9s in them.

Yeah I could try drilling brackets out or I could get the ones out of a wagon my biggest concern is finding a navy blue shelf that hasn't been cut already :/
