Hi I have a 96 VS acclaim I am having problem when the car is cold it is like the clutch is slipping in the gearbox. Have had gearbox serviced and clutch checked by Holden could not find any problem with it. When I go to take off and I am accelarating it revs up and the feels like car is not accelarating to what I am applying to the accelerator peddle and takes along time to go into next gear. Once the car warms up a bit the problem disappears. Could this be a computer problem? Any input would be great. Thanks Clags
Your car could be starting in Limp Home Mode...if so it should leave a code - to test do this http://forums.justcommodores.com.au...22307-checking-error-codes-vr-vs-revised.html Otherwise it could just be high miles and wear making the clutches a bit slippery till the oil thins and everything frees up. Did Holden do a oil and filter change on the transmission?
