when i have my handbrake on, the engine wont rev past 2k rpm. so basicly no throttle response.. and if the handbrake is pulled while the car is in motion it makes an annoying bell chime sound. does anyone know how to bypass these annoying safety features?
pull up your transmission pannel and disconnect the yellow wire leading to the handbrake. this will solve all of your said problems as the car will think the handbrake is always off.
why would you want the car to rev while you have the handbrake on, its rwd and the handbrake locks the rear wheels..... try taking the handbrake globe out
like the handbrake does anything with a commie anyway? it doesnt stop the car from rolling down a hill, how could it lock up the wheels? lol
why would you want to reef the handbrake on and rev the motor at the same time, one motion is trying to stop the wheels form spinning and the other is trying to turn them?? it simply doesnt mix.
i think its because he wants to compensate for a clutch and bring the revs up whilst the handbrake is quickly up... and the force built up from revving and having the handbrake up would spin the tyres once he put the handbrake off..
Lol at dbarnes that wont create a burnout it will create a messed up diff flange and possibly elongated uni-joints on the tailshaft.
sigh.. i said that because he was TRYING to COMPENSATE for NOT having a CLUTCH, ... i never said there were no consequences of trying to compensate for a clutch on an auto..i was simply saying what i think he might have been trying to do
