Okay last resort before scraping my car.

I have a 96 VS S auto with the 6HDD box in it.
Started having transmission problems, gave it a service,
even changed box to 7hdd, no gears at all, is not selecting anything,
Was told torque maybe the problem?
I am now trying the 7hdd torque in the 6hdd box and gave service.
I now only have reverse ( going good) but have lost drive altogether.

Can someone please help me I've spent over $600 in box, service kits and oil and am about to lose it.

Also changed the speed sensor ( god knows why someone suggested it and I stupidly listened nd that was $50 down the drain)

Tried checking the solenoids to see if they are good?
Tried checking the wiring loom to the ecu to see if the connections are good? Maybe one of the wires might be broken causing the solenoids to not work (unlikely though).
Or maybe the part of the ECU which controls the solenoids might be faulty.

Have you checked if any fault codes are set?

What black said. Check your error codes. If you come up with an 81 or an 82 error code (or both) then its the shift solenoid(s) screwed. Its a very common issue for them both to go at the same time.

I had a similar prob with my vr only had reverse and I think one forward gear turns out after 3 gearbox changes it was a friggen 50c fuse under the kick panel in the cab of the car on the drivers side. Check ALL fuses
