ummmm that does not seem to good
might be needing to get a rebulid done on transmission
sounds like it could be blocked somewhere and just cooking it if its goin black that quick

Not dissin' your abilities as a home mechanic in any way here, but do you completely flush your trans and radiator trans cooler tank with your service?
Just that even if you change the filter and fluid, dirty, burnt old fluid will still be in the trans and cooler tank, which u need to flush out before your service is completed, otherwise it will just dilute the new fresh fluid, turning it a dark murky red, or brown-ish tan colour, depending on condition, instead staying a nice clear-ish red.
But If you have been flushing properly, then it's either time for a trans rebuild, or just replace it with a reco'd unit.
In any case, 'black' auto fluid is definitely a sign your trans internals could be in dire critical condition.

EDIT: Do you know the history of the trans? If it has been used a lot to tow caravans, car trailers and the like?
These auto's really don't like this kind of heavy towing work, and will overheat and burn the fluid very quickly, if not kept cool with a separate trans cooler.

was just going to ask if you do a lot of towing? caravan, car trailer etc? you need a extra trans cooler if you do.

the auto had probllems when towing one day it went into limp mode and eventually could only take off in 3rd gear and 4th so the 1st and second went
so wehn i got home i had to fix the 2solanoids which selects the gears that fixed it self up so all gears work but at initial start in the mornings when the car hasnt been driven for a while i.e a few hrs the car wont engage any gears till car pumps oil through i am guessing i did all the oils changes right and it stays a red color for a short time coz the morning starts as this only happened after that faithfull day and i had to drive it like 30kms home after wards like thtwithout the trailer though

I don't know a real lot about these later model transmissions, but it's sounding like the clutch bands inside have basically been chewed away to the point they are barely working.
It could be that it's the material from these disintegrating that's turning the oil black, this could also be clogging up a lot of finer parts of the valve body, making it difficult for the fluid to flow through the areas it's supposed to, and why it seems so hard to get it moving when it's cold.
Best advice I think would be to visit a few transmission specialists, tell them the symptoms, and get some quotes. :)

i seem to think its like a pumping of oil around the tranny that is causing it to go black
