Diff gears feel great, i was hesistant to change the ratio for the exact reason you mentioned, 3.08 suited it perfectly with the manual but i had some 3.45's lying around before the diff got rebuilt so thought may aswell wack them in. Maybe soon, id also be keen to hear it from the outside (if i let someone else drive it :unsure. Its probably bit too loud/drony for my liking, if I ever change it would put a nice big resonator on the back (only got a very small resonator currently).
Innovate motorsports wideband O2 sensor and gauge installed today, (dont mind the reading- engine wasnt running). Bung/sensor LC1 controller - mounted up in trans tunnel G3 Gauge -mounted on top of the dash
Quick squirt to 100 (well 110 because my speedo is 10km out, havnt adjusted the my speedo corrector yet), this was a soft launch so i got traction with shitty 205 tyres, its in the 6 second bracket, still intake, cooler, more boost and a tune to go,i think i will get into the 5 second range hopefully! L670-100untuned
Got to work installing the new fuel system today Surge tank and pump mounted: braided lines made up and fitted: And where i mounted the relay which triggers off the stock pump:
Thanks Jec's, nearly ready to fire it up again, got the tank and straps painted whilst they were out anyway. Gave them a good clean with wire brush attachment, then went silver on the tank and satin black for straps. Cheers.
Got tank back in, replaced breather hoses whilst it was out aswell, Holden dont make em anymore so had to get some equivelant fuel hose from shops. Must say these pumps are quite noisy! seem to run a fair bit better too, still way too rich on the afr's so tune should see some good gains. surge tank is a snug fit under there
Intercooler install happening soon, got most of the parts sorted, just waiting on some fittings and fabricating some new fuel rails as didnt want to use injector spacers. Going just a mini core for clearance purposes. The cooler plate Heat exchanger and Fan i may use A/C removed today Plenty of room for the heat exchanger + Power steering cooler possibly
Yep the True Trac has been in since late last year, its very well mannered, you can drive around just like it was a standard diff, as soon as you apply a little bit of extra throttle around corners you can feel the tyres start locking/chirping, its very responsive, and hooks up well in a straight line, I really cant fault it at all.
Some recent progressions, I have been working hard to develop some new fuel rails , Using VS Ecotec fuel rails, which have been highly modified to suit so its now ready for the intercooler install . I have done a test fit of the FTC intake which needed some slight mods to get it to fit the way i like but its close now, I think the pipe is slightly too short so ordered a longer silicon joiner. Some pics.. Test fit of the new airbox and intake Just setting the cooler up to see how it looks New fuel rails - Large flat mounting tabs cut off Fabricated new stainless mounting brackets for the fuel rails (making 2 sets of rails - other is for a mates) Super happy with how they look mounted up, not finished with them yet, sourcing dash 6 fittings and e85 rated braided hose. Also got some new wheels to go on pretty soon, as my tyres are needing replacing badly, going with some reconditioned walkinshaw 16's, love these wheels! More updates soon!
Nice man! Loving those new wheels they suit the wagon very nicely. I was also running the FTC CAI and found the intake pipe to be just a little to short
