    Hey all,

Am I missing something? I got a boss kit from supercheap which the man said was for a VS Commodore. I went to put the thing in, it scrapes like anything on the plastic cover. Oh and the f*cking horn doesn't work (at all). Is there any method to getting the horn working and stopping it from scraping? (how does the horn work? Do I need to take something from the old wheel off?) I figured that I needed to use the washer from the old wheel so I could tighten the thing up properly.

Any tips and advice from those in the know greatly appreciated.

    Regards

hey mate, theres usually a metal disc thingo that runs behind the centre cap on the steering wheel that u press for a horn and it has a wire connected to it (usually a positive) and once pressed in, the ring hits the metal on the boss kit, grounding the wire and the positive runs freely to the horn sounding your horn, just check if the wire is connected into that part and that your boss kit is compeletely pushed into the steeringcolumn and nut done up tightly

Ah I didn't have the middle horn button in at the time, it's sitting there with both plugs in. So if it's not seated properly in the wheel it won't work?

Also I forgot to mention, and this is kind of serious - my indicators don't cancel any more!:cry::cry::cry:

it fits properly one way n 1 way only, just gotta see the metal circle that runsaround behind it / on the boss kit itself, tbh some wheels dont end up haveing the horn work, most do, like the SAAS ones. witht he indicators, welcome to the wonderful world of sports steering wheels, again with some you will and some you wont, you have to manuall turn the indicator off.

Why on earth did I get a sports wheel :( Did a bit of reading, something about the sticks on the wheel which hit the indicator cancel cam, don't think the kit had them... will see if I can take the sticks from the old wheel which cancel the indicators and somehow make it work. I've bloody had enough of this, at the moment the stupid wheel isn't even straight so I'm going to have to re do it. Nothing has gone right so far!

    Thanks for your help Social

haha lol with straightening the wheel theres a few things to take note of. 1) make sure ur wheels are striaght on the car b4 putting the kit on. 2) with the screw holes in the boss kit, there are TWO sets, one is closer in and other further out, make sure the screw hole for the size you need is directly in the middle at the top once the bosskit is put on then put the nut on, remember not to tighten the allen key bolts too much they WILL thread
