Just seen this one ebay. wots ppl think about the price i thought its well priced. looks like a sleeper? http://cgi.ebay.com.au/HOLDEN-VS-CA...yZ102237QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
12,000 for a vs calais with an rb26det conversion, i wouldnt pay that as u can get vs calais for around 7grand, i bought mine for 5500, with the left over $$$ i would have rather put a supra turbo engine (2jz gte or sumthing), as toyota engines are more reliable than nissan engines plus supra motor puts out alot more torque being a 3.0L(better for commo cos nissans are alot lighter, supra is closer to commo weight), still an ls1 conversion would have been my choice if i was actually gonna do a conversion.
yer looks aight if u wana pay that much for it. first id make sure it is certified id wana see the cirtificate then look the car over then buy it dnt stuff round with that sort of stuff for that price id test drive it etc. plus on 10 psi thats pretty ave u can normally run bout 16 through an rb25 with a big cooler. so in my opionion if u like it and are willing to pay that much check it first then go hard son
apparently its not too expensive and rather easy to convert to an RB25DET. i think its because the VN front crossmember was designed to hold an RB25DET in the first place, so it must be the same in a VS
also... a 1jz would be good to drop in. apparently they can handle 800rwkw on stock internals. and a halfcut is only about 2800.
I heard its more like 650 hp. Rb motor conversion would be alot cheaper than supra as said crossmembers are similar plus 1/2 jz have the exhaust other oppisote side. Putting one in a toyota cressida would give a low 13 sec quater so a commy would get about the same time
