Could the battery in the key be dead?

    Hey Mate.

Jump In the Car, and push all the locks down, first try and see if you lift the driver side lock up, See if the other door unlock, if not, lock the door and try other passenger doors and lift the lock up, if they open and the driver side dont, i would say its the central locking motor in the driver side door. well thats what i would start with.

There is no downloadable manual unfortunately. Has the central locking ever worked?...if it has, was any work done to the car just before it failed? If you PM me you email address I can email a scan of the wiring for the central locking as you will need to go over it with a multimeter.
If you followed edals advice, the problem may lie in the BCM.

From series 2 or something they had central locking. Prior to that they just had a single button on the keyhead which would turn the interior light on and turn the immobiliser off.

ive got a problem with my vs where when i press the unlock button on the key all doors but the drivers door unlocks, i can just pull it up to unlock the door and it also wont lock again. what would be the most likely cause of the problem? also the back rh had a simmilar problem but now works again...
