    Guys passenger door won't open, central locking is operating as I have the door knob off and can see the metal rod attempting to move. Read heaps of threads but no success

    ive had the same prob with my vr, as did a mate with a vs . its a matter of removing the door trim with the door closed , try disconnecting the central locking from the door handle , lift the internal door lock rod up manually and try open your door ? if that doesn't work than im sorry i dont remember just what it was i done , but my door now opens , just wont lock or unlock with the central locking

    just taking the seat out today so it's easier to get to the door card, real pain in the ass!!! cheers mate

    DON'T take the seat out!!! The door trim that anfz18 is referring to (I hope) is the trim that sits between between the door and the bottom of the window. Remove it with the window down.

    If that doesn't work then you probably have a failed door actuator or wiring issue. In that case you will need to remove the door card (with the door open!!!) to make any repair. If you get that far, check out the FAQs as I'm sure door card removal has been covered before, otherwise send me a PM with your email address if you still need detailed instructions
