    vs series II ute
Hi, I have a 1996 VS series II manual ute, i occasionaly have problems engaging first gear and
my mechanic has told me i will need a new clutch. I have been quoted $1100 as it also includes
a new flywheel. Have been told it has a Getrag gearbox.
Does anyone have any advice on my options for my ute???? Cheers.
Oh do i need a new flywheel as well?

If its getrag with a dual mass flywheel yes you will need a new flywheel with the clutch but while its out you might as well do the solid flywheel upgrade. That way when you need to replace your clutch next you only haft to replace the clutch instead of the whole flywheel aswell.. Saves you hundreds in the end it pays for itself
