Hi grover,
Just emailed this to someone so I thought I might as well post it..........

First of all make sure you're A/C, fan, radio etc are all off.

The terminal rack you need is located above your brake pedal.

Bridge the two terminals (shown in photo) together with a paperclip.

Yours may have a couple less or more (not sure) but the ones I have circled will be the ones you want.

Then turn your key to accessories.

Your engine warning light will flash a code.

Eg. Flash - pause - flash flash. (then repeats)
This is code 12. Which means there are no faults detected.

If it flashes another code, then the computer has picked up a fault. The codes are found in the WORKSHOP manual for your model (not the manual you get with your car)

The link below will tell you the codes. (Think there are more than this though)

Automotive EMF

If you do find a copy of ALL the codes, could you please let everyone know.

As I said above we are trying to get it done. Soon we will have all the codes and extraction processes in one place along with other useful specifications and tech advice. It's just a long process gathering the information, formatting it, editting it, double checking it, then getting it up on a page. Code information is basically finished and wont be long coming.

It WILL happen soon though I promise.

Yes I did read that in your previous post Jake.

I was refering of a link to a web page somewhere other than EMF.
That might save you the trouble.

Yeah, thought it was above the brake in the VS - just can't remember the VR too well.

Have a look in the kick panel, it should look about the same as the diagnostic link in the previous photo.

My memory's going - too much alcohol

Thanks Mick for Email, Im wondering how long after you put the paper clip in does it start to flash the code and how many times does it repeat the code ? Im getting older/ blind and it would take a while to get from the passenger kick panel to drivers seat to see the light flash the code

Regards & Thanks
Andy
