Hi,

Yesterday I got in my commodore to go to work, when I drove off the car seemed to be a bit lumpy, like a vibration, I thought maybe its cold. Half way throught the day I drove it again and the shaking seemed bigger, espessially when at low speed. There is only a small problem when the speed is up, and a large shake when the speed is down. There is no problem with acceleration and no sputtering. In the afternoon I had to reverse and this is where it shakes the most. In the evening I took it for a drive when I had more time and all the above was consistant.

Any ideas?

Cheers

If its not coughing and spluttering then it shouldn't be from the engine itself..
Maybe some part of the driveline mounts, tailshaft perhaps?
Mine vibrates the car when the engine is under load at 80, so I reckon my problem is similar in a way.

Had a similar problem and turned out my engine mounts were shagged

Hi
check the engine mounts, if the metal pin has sunk all the way to the frame mount then you will feel every bump and grind of the motor...its more noticeable in reverse and idle.....ramping up to a slight buzz as speed builds up

lol vrsprspt was faster on the keyboard :)
