    Gday guys,
I just got a vs acclaim with the usual crappy passenger airbag cover.
I was considering swapping for a Statesman dash.
But now I am considering just downgrading to the standard dash.
I know it will be straight swap but was wondering what to do with the old airbag.
Will it being disconnected from the loom trigger the airbag light?
Will I need to swap for a standard loom as well?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
    Cheers.

Mmmm....thanks for the advice. Given me food for thought.
I might keep hunting for a replacement cover for a little while longer.
Any idea how much it may cost to get retrimmed. I really don't wanna fork out too much...

My local wrecking yard sell the covers for $88 - when they get good one's in.

The dash mat is a cheap and good idea I bought a vs with the same proberly and the guy that I bought it off put blue fluffy material through out the whole car so it covered it up and made it look nice :)

mate, i had the exact same problem, and swapped for a statesman dash. best thing i have ever done. The statesman dash in miles ahead of the standard one in looks and just makes the whole car feel new. i couldn't recommend it enough, instead of fixing the old one. just my opinion :)
