Vs Ute S3
Chasing a new diff for my vs ute, found a lexcen wagon I could get one from but need to know if a lexcen wagon diff would fit. Being that it's a rebadged commodore I thought it might.
Any help is appreciated

They fit just not 100% same as utes

Angled shocks so they do bolt up but bump stops are real difference iirc.Utes have a flat medal pad on diff & bumpstop bolts to chassis rail whereas wagons have don't????

Other thing is Lexcen most likely single spinner but vagely remember later vs utes or atleast later vs s-pac model have lsd, probably series 3 also as last 2 I bought were lsd

Lots of vg/p & assume vr single spinner utes.

Yours probably s pac or base model optioned with it...read somewhere later vs2/3 v6 models it became standard

v8 utes it was supposedly standard as think only came s-pac or maloo

Was told i have a base according to VIN. But i have, cruise, LSD, and AC. I suspect i have an S Pac but not 100% sure. Member on here reckon my ute is just a base.

Probably a base level with up-sold options added on original dealer order.

Yeah, probably options.
My vr v6 manual ute I had was base , = ac = yes ,( first vechice I owned with ac), but no lsd, cruise ( but manual) , no taco, sat so high I thought I was in a 4 by.
Was a great and extremely reliable, relativity trouble free ute.
Almost 190,000 kms in 9 years and it had 180,000 kms on it when I picked it up.

Must have had raised suspension. My ute I struggle to get under enough to hit the under-body with the pressure cleaner and I believe I have stock height. I have a tacho but apart from that cluster is pretty basic, I'd say level 1, or level 1.5 if there is such a thing.

I also have power mirrors but I'd say that was standard across the whole range by the time VR's came out.

It was standard height just felt like a high rise.

Mirrors = no , option or some one else fitted.
Pretty sure power mirrors weren't standard on ute until vs s3.
Pretty sure mine ( on the maloo) were fitted by 2nd owner.

Hmmmm this brings me to suspect I do have an S Pac. I had standard central locking as well, that I binned and replaced. If mine is indeed a base then someone asked for a lot of upgrades. Unless the power mirror loom and central locking loom was already there I'd say these haven't been added in later.

Not sure if you remember but I even had a Maloo sailplane.... Maybe mine was a V6 Maloo.... LOL:p:p
