VL Calais RB25 turbo, VS Calais
Hey guys I've just bought a VS calais and have a small issue with it. The guy before me supposably replaced the motor and transmission with ones from a VT.
The car travels fine when driving normally however when i tried to do a nut on the gravel it died about 3/4's around. I've tried it in 1st, 2nd and drive and with power on and off and it died every time. Its starts straight away after doing it but revs at about 2,000 rpm and slowly drops back to idle..
Any ideas?? Thanks in advance :)

Joe

nah not that i've noticed yet.. (like i said i've not long bought it..) but it seems to start off fine when doing skids. No problem when drifting corners, only tight donuts..
I'll see what happens tomorrow.

yep no problem when going left.. Is there a solution to this besides not doing donuts?

the vt trans has traction control.. have you got the button fitted in the cabin to turn it off?

Traction control is a function of the ABS/ETC system on VT Commodores not the gearbox.
