    Hi all,

Seems as though my VS is only running on four cylinders, the RACV people suggested that the coil that does cylinders 2 and 5 wasn't working, so I picked up another one from the wreckers this morning to test it out, and the same issue is happening, no sparks between the terminals when I took the leads off to test.

Car starts fine, and no error codes showing. Has my DFI module shat itself, and if so, where's the best place to get a new one, hopefully not cheap Chinese crap.

    Cheers

As suggested, should be able to get DFI and coil pack set for under $50

Or if you get a new one, Delphi make the DFI and coils for GM. I bought a complete coil pack and DFI set for $180 on eBay, great for years so far.

Yeah I was expecting that the DFI module was going to cost a fortune... Bit of a lottery with one from the wreckers as the newest one is still going to be 13 years old.

I got one for $10 from pick a part, so it wasn't really a gamble. Actually, I bought 2 and keep one in the car as a spare

No I got a new one about 7yrs ago and it was new.
When I got mine say September that year a lot got sold the price when up about $100.

A lot of VS are still running original ones. 2015-1997=18 yrs.

Yeah I was meaning one from a VY series 2, from a wrecker that would be the newest available from a second hand point of view.
